The I-Post gives the Permanent Electric Fence heavy-duty integrity and strength, pulling design inspiration from engineered structural steel beams used in the construction industry.

Reliable control and exclusion of all animal types. Suitable options for fencing all types of livestock, as well excluding invasive species such as kangaroo, foxes, feral pigs, deer and wild dogs. Fence further with less material than other fencing systems. Superior I-Post stability requires less posts per meter than other fence designs. Typically an I-Post every 4 meters on flat terrain, two suspended, with every third I-Post clipped onto a steel post with two only clips. The essential combination of suspension structure and power in the fence determines the effectiveness of the Permanent Electric Fence solution. The fully insulated post material also removes the need for additional insulators. Suspended I-Posts have no contact with the ground, enabling fence voltage to carry further, with less chance of faults occurring.

Battery Backup Charger Keep your energizer running in the event of power failure

The ideal solution for areas with an unreliable mains power supply. The Battery Backup Charger connects to your MBS Energizer and 12V lead acid battery, ready to switch to battery power in the event of power failure.

Benefits:

Never lose power, even when the main power goes out. In the event of a mains power failure, the power source automatically switches your Gallagher MBS Energizer from mains power to the external 12V battery. Battery is always charged - ready to go. The battery is trickle charged when mains power is available ensuring it is ready to power the energizer when required. Easy to install and compatible with all MBS Energizers. Simply connect between the mains power supply and the Energizer and connect the attached leadset to your 12V battery. Know what source is powering your fence. LEDs on the charger indicate whether the Energizer system is running off the mains or battery power source.

Earthing your energizer To complete the circuit and control any animal

Live fence Earthing

Eight out of ten fencing problems are due to improper earthing. Setting up a good earthing system is critical to having a reliable fencing solution. It’s how the power flows from the Energizer, to the fence, through the animal and back through the ground to the Energizer. Without good clean earth rods, sufficient in size and quantity, the ground connection doesn’t work and the shock will not reach the animal. Follow the 4-3-2-1 rule for earth systems: 4 meters between earth stakes (10m spacing for Super Earth Kits) 3 earth stakes minimum* 2 metres minimum length of earth stakes 1 wire connecting all earth stakes to Energizer earth terminal *As a rule of thumb, use at least 3 earth stakes or the Energizer Stored Joules rating divided by 5. If you’re using Super Earth Kits, Gallagher recommend each earth being installed 10m apart.

All live wire system For use in greener regions with good ground conductivity. An ‘all live system’ is where all fence wires connect to the red terminal on the Energizer. A shock is delivered to an animal when it touches both the ground and the fence at the same time.

Earth return wire system For use where the ground struggles to conduct enough power. An ‘earth return system’ is created where the live and earth wires on the fence create the shock when the animal touches them both at the same time.

Super Earth Kit G88000

A superior earthing option to increase the effectiveness of your fence through improved earth conductivity and reliable earthing stake components. When installed correctly, the Super Earth Kit can be the equivalent of three standard earth stakes.

*Gallagher recommend each earth being installed 10m apart.

Highly conductive, reliable earthing stake Increases the conductivity of surrounding soil as the salt attracts moisture and the absorbent clay holds the moisture.
